- The Moscow Transformer Festival will bring together student sports clubs and active citizens
The Moscow Transformer Sports Festival will be held in Yauza Park on September 21. Student sports clubs of leading universities, city teams and active residents of the capital who support a healthy lifestyle will take part in it, the organizers of the event said.
"Participants will have competitions to test their strength, endurance, speed and agility. They can be completed both in teams and individually. The culmination of the festival will be the awarding of the winners," said Marina Prozorova, Deputy Head of the Department of Territorial Executive Authorities of Moscow.
After the opening of the festival, the participants will be told the rules for passing the sports stages, then the competitions will begin. Track and field events will take place on the football field, such as the 50-meter run, shuttle run, and long jump. Football fans will show their ball possession skills. On the basketball court, they will do abs exercises, squats and bends, as well as perform free throws into the ring. In the workout area, strength tests are waiting for those who wish, including passing handlebars, pull-ups, kettlebell jerk, burpees and push-ups.
In the evening, the winners of the individual and team competitions of the sports stages will be awarded on the main stage.
Master classes in zumba, yoga, step aerobics and hip-hop are organized during the festival. A relaxation area with aquagrim will be available for guests. Visitors will also be able to play air hockey.
To participate in the competition as a team, you must register in advance. For those wishing to speak individually, registration will open at the venue of the event — in Yauza Park from 13:00 to 14:00.
