In Paris, clashes between protesters and police began near the metro. This was reported on September 18 by the French newspaper Le Figaro.

According to the newspaper, during the arrival of police officers at the Nation Square, clashes broke out between law enforcement officers and demonstrators. A group of police officers tried to disperse the crowd.

Soon there were reports that some demonstrators, heading towards the Saint-Jean train station, began to overturn garbage cans despite the presence of police officers. In an attempt to disperse the protesters, police officers used about ten tear gas bombs.

It is specified that during the collision on the Sports Embankment, one person was injured. Passersby had to stop on the way because the tear gas sprayed by the police stung their eyes.

According to the newspaper, more than 500,000 demonstrators took to the streets today in various cities of France and 55,000 in Paris. Among them, 181 were arrested and 11 injured.

Mass protests under the slogan "Block everything" began in many French cities on September 10. It was expected that at least 100,000 people across the country would join them. In reality, the Interior Ministry estimates that about 200,000 demonstrators took to the streets. The protesters are dissatisfied with the reduction of social spending and the economic policy of the government of the country. In Marseille, protesters blocked access to the Eurolinks defense enterprise. This factory supplied weapons to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Izvestia's footage shows the aftermath of the protest action in the French capital. Among other things, cultural heritage sites were damaged by vandals.
