In the Lipetsk region, the police are conducting a check in connection with two cases of fraud. The total damage amounted to almost 2.7 million rubles.
In Yelets, a 24-year-old woman became a victim of scams. According to GOROD48, the scammers have been communicating with the victim since the end of August. They convinced the woman to transfer 1.68 million rubles to a "secure" account. Lipchanka carried out transfers through an ATM.
Another victim of fraud was a 28-year-old man. He communicated with criminals through a messenger and a video calling app. The scammers convinced the victim to install the "Central Bank application" on his smartphone, as well as transfer 990 thousand rubles to an outside account.
In Magadan, a 67-year-old woman gave almost 5 million rubles to fraudsters. The scammers communicated with the victim on behalf of Rosfinmonitoring.
