The plane flying from Paris to Corsica was forced to make several circles over the airport due to the fact that the air traffic controller fell asleep. This was reported on September 18 by the Daily Mail newspaper.

"The plane full of tourists had to circle over the airport because the dispatcher fell asleep," the article says.

According to the newspaper, the aircraft had to fly over the Mediterranean Sea for 18 minutes. The pilot began to develop a landing plan at another airport when police officers went up to the tower and woke up the dispatcher.

It is noted that after the dispatcher was woken up, "the plane landed safely."

The day before, Bloomberg reported that US President Donald Trump's Boeing 757 plane was spotted in the air a few miles from the civil Airbus SE A321 airliner operated by Spirit Airlines, flying in the sky over Long Island. The air traffic controller tried to warn the Spirit pilots to change course, and after they did not respond, he repeated the message, raising his voice and ordering them to immediately turn 20 degrees to the right.
