Auto experts named cars with high sales growth

Sales of Xcite X Cross 7 crossovers and Haval — M6 and F7 brand cars increased by 28-36%. The popularity of these models was significantly ahead of the overall market, which saw a 1% increase. This was reported to Izvestia on September 22 by experts from Gazprombank Automotive Leasing.

Sales growth of such models as Jetour X70, Soueast S09, Livan S6 Pro, Hongqi HS3 and Amberavto A5 was impressive. The increase in sales of these cars was almost 2-3 times. As a rule, this growth was facilitated by significant discounts and support for low-interest loan sales, sometimes reaching almost zero levels.

"Although August in the retail sector showed an increase relative to July, the dynamics of 1% cannot be considered significant. And relative to the same month in 2024, the losses of the market as a whole remained very significant — almost 25 thousand transactions, or 18%. Against this background, it was especially interesting to look at those models that began to be sold out much more actively than in July. The reasons for sales growth, sometimes by a quarter or more, depended primarily on the actions of importers," the experts noted.

The top five cars with the highest sales and high growth dynamics were three Haval crossovers — M6 (+36%), F7 (+28%) and H3 (+54%). The Xcite X Cross 7 from Chery also showed a noticeable increase, with a 28% increase in turnover.

In addition, the list of popular models includes Hyundai Creta and Solaris HC. The Jetour X70 crossover especially stood out, which doubled sales to 700 units. The Hongqi H5 business class sedan saw an 83% increase, reaching 420 transactions, while the Hongqi H9 executive sedan attracted 65 buyers.

"In general, more than 700 car models were sold on the market in August, of which about a third were able to show positive dynamics compared to July, and 48 models increased in sales from 25 to 182%," said Alexander Kornev, head of the department for work with importers at Gazprombank Automotive Leasing.

According to forecasts, the growth trend will continue in September, but as warehouses are emptied of cars from 2023-2024, the dynamics on all models will become more even.
