Valery Nikolov, the former head of the Moscow Region Apartment Building Renovation Fund, was detained at the airport while trying to escape from the investigation. This became known on September 18 from court materials.

According to the documents, Nikolov is being investigated for accepting bribes, RIA Novosti reports. He was detained while trying to fly to Turkey. The man bought a one-way ticket without booking accommodation.
