The State Duma announced an increase in child benefits in 2026

Since the beginning of 2026, some parameters of child benefits and sick leave for child care will significantly increase in Russia. Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, from the United Russia faction, told about this on September 18.

"Starting from the beginning of 2026, first of all, those benefits that depend on the salaries of Russians, including the minimum wage, will change," TASS quoted her as saying.

It is specified that as a result of the increase in the minimum wage from 2026, the payment for sick leave for child care will not be lower than 27 thousand rubles. The parliamentarian also stressed that payments will be provided in the amount of 100% for children under the age of seven. Moreover, this indicator will not depend on the length of service.
