On September 17, the State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill according to which Moscow residents will be exempt from contributions for major repairs to non-residential premises in apartment buildings (MCD) from the moment the house is included in the renovation program.

This initiative was initiated by the Moscow City Duma. It is proposed to amend the law "On the Status of the Capital of the Russian Federation".

"The specifics of the transfer of rights to a special account after the transfer to the capital of ownership of all premises in the MCD included in the renovation program are also fixed, if the owners of the premises in the MCD included in the renovation program have chosen to form it on a special account as a way to form a fund for the overhaul of common property in the MCD," the RIA Novosti news agency noted.".
