Rescuers have recovered the bodies of two more dead when an all-terrain vehicle crashed into Lake Amudisa in the Trans-Baikal Territory.This was announced on September 18 by the press service of the main directorate (GU) of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the region in the Telegram channel.
"A combined group of rescuers from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and Zabaikalpozhspas has recovered the bodies of two dead citizens from a flooded all—terrain vehicle," the statement said.
It is noted that with the help of heavy machinery, work is also underway to extract the ROVER itself to shore.
A day earlier, it became known that an all-terrain vehicle with failed brakes flew into Lake Amudisa and drowned. A criminal case was opened after the incident.
On September 17, it was reported that the specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations went by helicopter to the Kalarsky municipal District of the Trans-Baikal Territory to the crash site of an all-terrain vehicle in Lake Amudisa. It was clarified that there were nine geologists in the interior of the tracked vehicles. On the same day, rescuers recovered the bodies of three victims of the accident.
