Military personnel of the 37th separate Guards Motorized Rifle brigade of the Vostok group of forces shared details about the liberation of the settlement of Novonikolayevka, Dnipropetrovsk region. This was announced on September 18 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"Before launching the assault, we cleared the forest belts adjacent to the settlement, thereby ensuring the advance of our assault groups. We entered, cleared and secured, the unit completed the task 100 percent," said the commander of the assault platoon with the call sign Kot.

He added that the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) used both artillery and FPV drones.

During the assault on the settlement, Russian servicemen had to clear the forest belts in order to have free passage. However, thanks to the coordinated work of the reconnaissance units and firing crews, the Ukrainian Armed Forces strongholds were neutralized, and the assault was carried out.

"We come across everything. There are, as they say, many different explosive devices. These are petals, markers, gingerbread, there are even homemade ones, first-aid kits are mined, automatic machines. Absolutely everything that can be mined, even powerbanks are mined," said an assistant grenade launcher operator with the call sign Baloo.

He noted that during the assault, many "birds", kamikaze people, and Ukrainian intelligence officers were recorded.

The new equipment will reduce the time spent by the gunners in their positions.

Earlier, on September 17, the calculations of the Vostok group's UAVS destroyed the AFU hexacopters in the SVO zone. It is specified that the operators of the Vostok group of forces discovered heavy hexacopters, which were used by Ukrainian servicemen to drop ammunition. Calculations of FPV drones in the air destroyed the Ukrainian drones in advance.
