An earthquake of magnitude 5.6 was recorded by seismologists in the Pacific Ocean 94 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. This was announced on September 18 by the Kamchatka branch of the Federal Research Center of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences in its Telegram channel.

It is noted that the depth of the shock is 24.6 km. The intensity was previously set at four points.
