In the city of Vyborg, Leningrad region, the ceiling collapsed at the Pushkin Leningrad State University during classes. This was announced on September 17 by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (SU TFR) for the region.
"In one of the premises of the Vyborg Institute (branch) The A. S. Pushkin Leningrad State University partially collapsed the plaster layer of the ceiling during classes," the department's Telegram channel says.
As a result of the incident, no one was injured. An inspection of the incident site was carried out.
The causes of the incident are currently being determined.
A criminal case was opened on this fact under Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence, that is, failure or improper performance by an official of his duties due to unfair or negligent attitude to service or duties in office, if this entailed causing major damage or a significant violation of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens or organizations or legally protected interests society or the state").
Earlier in the day, a partial ceiling collapse was reported in the corridor of school No. 46 on Battery Street in Vladivostok. A 12-year-old student was previously injured. A criminal case was opened on this fact.
