The European Union (EU) intends to use 170 billion euros of frozen assets of Russia to finance Ukraine. This was reported on September 17 by the Financial Times (FT) newspaper.

Brussels is preparing ways to use Russia's frozen assets to support €170 billion worth of "reparations loans" to Ukraine, a move that will transform Kiev's finances but is fraught with serious confrontation with Moscow.
