At the Romonta chemical plant in Amsdorf, Germany, one worker was killed and four injured due to a solvent mixture leak. This was reported on September 17 by the German newspaper Bild.

It is specified that during the technical work in the premises on the territory of the enterprise, a leak of hazardous substances occurred. The accident occurred around 5:00 a.m. local time (6:00 a.m. Moscow time).

"According to the MDR report, the worker first lost consciousness, then died. Two colleagues rushed to his aid, during which they themselves were injured," the article says.

Now two workers are in the hospital, their lives are not in danger. It is specified that two more paramedics who arrived at the scene were injured during rescue operations.

The severity of their injuries is not specified. The cause of the accident has not yet been determined.

On March 12, four people were killed and four others injured in an explosion at a biotech plant in China. It was clarified that the accident occurred at the Jiangsu Huili Biotechnology company. It was also noted that the accident had no negative impact on the environment.
