The German magazine Compact told about the first batch of coins in honor of Putin
The first 2,000 coins dedicated to Russian President Vladimir Putin will be distributed in the coming days. The official representative of the German Compact magazine, Andre Poggenburg, told Izvestia about this on September 17.
"We currently have 3.1 thousand orders. It's fantastic, of course. In less than four weeks," Poggenburg said.
He added that the demand for a coin in honor of Putin is very high. According to him, the first batch of coins for 2 thousand pieces is not enough and another 3 thousand have already been ordered. The Compact representative also showed the coin, with the inscription "Patriot Vladimir Putin" added to it on one side, and the magazine's logo on the reverse side.
"Of course, the main influx of orders, their number, is very large here, on the territory of the former GDR, in Eastern or, as they say, Central Germany, in the eastern federal states of Germany," Poggenburg shared.
He also noted that he had already been lucky enough to visit the Russian embassy last week, where they discussed holding a possible press conference on Vladimir Putin's birthday on October 7.
Jurgen Elsesser, as the head of Compact magazine, would like one of the coins to reach Vladimir Putin personally, but it is not yet known whether this will be possible, Poggenburg concluded.
Earlier, on August 27, the German magazine Compact told why it decided to issue a coin called "Patriot Putin". According to a Compact representative, it is connected with the intention to symbolically express support for the Russian leader. He noted that the magazine decided not to limit itself to protests and publications, but to give Putin a positive sign.
