The State Duma proposed to make exceptions to the medical reform
The State Duma of the Russian Federation proposed to amend the draft law "On the reform of medical education" and to cancel the training for some specialties. The document is published on the official website of the State Duma (State Duma) in the database of draft laws.
The State Duma Committee on Health Protection made a proposal to exclude graduates of pharmaceutical specialties, as well as dentists, from working with a mentor after graduation from a medical university.
Earlier, on August 26, the Cabinet of Ministers approved amendments to the federal laws "On the Basics of Public Health Protection in Russia" and "On Education in Russia." A day later, it was reported that graduates of the main medical schools who have passed primary accreditation in a particular specialty will carry out medical activities under the guidance of a mentor for three years.
The press service of the Ministry of Health explained that budget places will become targeted, young people will be required to sign a contract on targeted training. Graduates will be supervised by a mentor in an organization specified in the contract on targeted training or in organizations that participate in the implementation of the program of state guarantees of free medical care. People who perform the functions of a mentor will receive a salary supplement, the department added.
