On September 17, Nina Ostanina, head of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Fatherhood, Motherhood and Childhood, denied information about her call to ban the work of the Gaza Strip group.

"I want to make it completely clear. Our committee found out that the song "Ditties" in question is a 30—year-old composition. My position has been and remains clear: I am in favor of complying with the law — namely, labeling 18+ and against matting on music venues. But we are talking about individual compositions, and not about banning the music of the "Gaza Strip" entirely. We are not contacting Roskomnadzor to ban the group," she wrote on her Telegram channel.

The MP stressed that the band has become an important part of Russia's musical culture for millions of people. She noted that she loves and listens to the band's tracks, especially "Your Call".

"I am sincerely sorry that this confusion and outrage has arisen due to the frivolous interpretation. I apologize to the fans of the band whose feelings were affected by this misunderstanding," Ostanina said.

Earlier that day, the media reported that Ostanina had announced her intention to ban the creativity of the "Gaza Strip." It was indicated that the State Duma Committee intends to consider this issue in the near future.
