The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation is investigating the case of a missing tunneler who did not leave the Komsomolskaya mine due to a water break. This was announced on September 17 in the press service of the Department of the republic.

"In Vorkuta, as part of a procedural check, the circumstances of the unknown disappearance of a miner are being established," the department's Telegram channel says.

It is noted that as part of the investigative measures, the causes and circumstances of the incident will be established in order to compile a criminal legal assessment of the incident.

A water break at the Komsomolskaya mine occurred earlier that day. It was noted that four workers were able to climb to the surface on their own as a result of the emergency, but the tunneler Sergey Yasinenko, born in 1982, did not leave the mine.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
