The new film by producer and director Fyodor Popov "The Ferryman" is released on October 30, it will be dedicated to National Unity Day.

"The Ferryman" is about ordinary villagers, about their relationships, about the vicissitudes of local life, about love: for a woman, for children, for the Motherland, about loyalty to oneself and one's principles," the director explained.

The film was shot in the genre of dramedy (a combination of elements of drama and comedy). The film takes place in one of the Zaporozhye villages on the shores of the Azov estuary in the spring and summer of 2022. The main role in the film was played by Artyom Alekseev ("Confrontation", "The Pilot"), who played the ferryman Konstantinich, a local resident, Russian by nationality. After the old bridge over the estuary was destroyed and dismantled for scrap due to the collapse of the USSR, Konstantinovich began to transport people by ferry, connecting the shores and bearing responsibility for what was happening in his native land.

The picture was produced by the Stella Creative Studio, and the Centerkino company will be engaged in the rental.

The script of the film was written by Mikhail Plisko with the participation of Rodion Beletsky. The film starred Anna Ukolova, Natalia Berger, Eduard Radzyukevich, Svetlana Permyakova, Diana Deeva and others. The film was created under the auspices of the Innopraktika company with the support of Gazprombank and the Cinema Foundation.
