The weapons purchased from the United States under the NATO program have been sent to Ukraine. This was reported on September 17 by the Reuters news agency, citing a senior representative of the alliance in Ukraine, Patrick Turner.
"Four packages under the PURL priority needs program mechanism have already been funded and are already on their way [to Ukraine]," Turner said.
Earlier, on September 9, US Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green announced that the United States may refuse to finance military assistance to Ukraine in 2026. Green called on Republicans to pay attention to the real financial difficulties of their own citizens, instead of ignoring them.
On August 26, American leader Donald Trump announced the termination of Washington's financing of Kiev. He clarified that the United States intends to increase arms supplies to Washington's NATO allies, who are currently providing military assistance to Ukraine.
