The deadline for the reconstruction of the circus in Krasnoyarsk has been postponed

In Krasnoyarsk, the deadline for the completion of the circus reconstruction has been postponed indefinitely. The reason is the need to finalize the project documentation and allocate a lot of money for updating.

This became known during a live broadcast with the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov. According to the Regional Minister of Culture Arkady Zinov, quoted by KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, the circus is a federal institution (a branch of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Rosgoscirk, which is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The design and overhaul works are carried out at the expense of the federal budget.

According to Rosgoscirk, the roof of the administrative building and the entertainment part of the circus were repaired, stained glass windows were installed on the second floor, the facades of the dome part were insulated, cable routes were laid, lighting was adjusted and a fire alarm was installed.

However, no work is currently underway. It was determined that the building does not require major repairs, but reconstruction. It is necessary to finalize the project documentation and allocate a larger amount of funds.

The Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the celebration of the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk instructed the Ministry of Culture, together with the United Customer and the Russian State Circus Company, to ensure that the functions of the state customer are transferred to the United Customer. The Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Finance must ensure the completion of the reconstruction.

In early September, it was reported that the Commission for architectural and urban planning at the Department of Architecture of Krasnoyarsk agreed on the appearance of the new visitor center. A new multifunctional visitor center is planned to be built on Nikolaevskaya Sopka. The building will have two floors, with an observation deck on the roof. The architects tried to fit the visitor center into the natural landscape as much as possible.
