The State Duma appreciated the idea of extending the vacation to 35 days
The initiative to extend the vacation to 35 days is ill-conceived. Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, said this on Wednesday, September 17.
"In fact, we can consider that, in accordance with labor legislation, we have one of the longest paid vacations for workers," the deputy said in an interview with RT.
Bessarab also recalled that if the working conditions "deviate from normal," the duration of the vacation increases.
"For example, our pilots have the longest vacation: 70 days. Teachers also have quite a long vacation. Many categories of workers in special working conditions have longer vacations. — Ed.)," she noted.
In addition, the deputy drew attention to the fact that holidays falling on calendar weekends are postponed.
Earlier, on September 16, State Duma deputy Nikolai Novichok said that in Russia it is necessary to increase paid leave from 28 to 35 days, according to the website. kp.ru . The politician noted that the bill to increase the vacation to 35 days is necessary due to the fact that the stress intensity of the workflow has increased radically, IA Regnum reports.
On September 9, Rostrud reminded that the working hours of employees on the eve of the holiday should be reduced by one hour, regardless of the shift time. However, if this cannot be done, the employer is obliged to compensate for the processing.
