Passenger traffic from Khabarovsk to Chinese Fuyuan increased by 11%
Passenger traffic from Khabarovsk to Fuyuan in China increased by 11% in 2025 compared to 2024. The interim results of the international tour route were summed up by the Ministry of Transport and Road Management of the Khabarovsk Territory.
According to IA AmurMedia, from May to September 11, the high-speed river vessel 70 Years of Victory completed 83 voyages. It was possible to transport about 10 thousand passengers. Passenger traffic through the Khabarovsk river checkpoint has increased due to the launch of the ship on an international route. Compared to the same period last year, the ship carried almost 6 thousand more passengers.
The press service of Governor Dmitry Demeshin recalled that, on his instructions, passenger transportation by the 70 Years of Victory vessel on this route resumed in May. The head of the region also supported the decision to cancel the port fee, which reduced the cost of travel packages.
Since 2019, the ship has been in conservation due to the pandemic. Before the start of navigation this year, Khabarovsk Vodtrans JSC carried out deconservation work, the vessel was checked and repaired.
It takes about 1 hour to get from Khabarovsk to China by boat. The Chinese vessels Lunhan and Longke, which also operate in this area, travel this route in at least 3.5 hours.

The introduction of a visa-free regime for Russian citizens with a regular passport for up to 30 days was announced on September 2. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation added that Russia has requested additional clarifications from China on the conditions of entry as part of the decision on visa-free entry. Russian President Vladimir Putin indicated the next day that Russia would reciprocate China's move.
On September 5, Putin noted the importance of introducing a visa-free regime for joint business in China. According to him, this will help to increase mutual trips and create favorable conditions for entrepreneurship.
