Moscow has completed all the major yard improvement works planned for this year, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, said. The program affected about 2,4 thousand house territories in all districts of Moscow.

"An integrated approach includes updating playgrounds and sports grounds, installing modern lighting poles, repairing driveways and sidewalks, and arranging quiet recreation areas," Sobyanin said in the MAX messenger.

This year, about 57 thousand small architectural forms were purchased for the implementation of complex landscaping projects: children's, sports equipment and outdoor furniture. The life cycle contracts will ensure their maintenance for seven years, the mayor noted.

In particular, new play complexes have appeared in Dorogomilov this year at several houses on Kutuzovsky Prospekt and at house No. 16 on Bolshaya Dorogomilovskaya Street. A large-scale complex landscaping project on Yasnogorskaya Street has been completed in Yasenev. In the Dmitrovsky district, Angarskaya Street has been landscaped for ten houses: children's and sports complexes, recreation areas with swings and exercise equipment.

In August, the mayor's office announced that 15 modern recreation areas by the water would be created in Moscow. New beach areas will be built on Golovinsky, Angarsky, Dzhamgarovsky, Dolgikh, Golyanovsky, Perovsky, Vladimirsky, Biryulevsky, Chernevsky, Yasenevsky, Ochakovsky, Udaltsovsky, Solntsevsky ponds, as well as in the Zarechye zone on the Desna River. The work will be completed by the summer season of 2026.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
