The IDF attacked a children's hospital in the Gaza Strip
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked the Al-Rantisi Children's Hospital in the Gaza Strip. This was announced on September 17 by the press service of the enclave's Ministry of Health.
"The upper floors of the hospital were attacked three times, with an interval of several minutes," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.
It is noted that this hospital is the only specialized one in the region that offers treatment for oncology, respiratory, digestive diseases, and dialysis. In addition, 80 patients are being treated at the facility, there are four pediatric intensive care units and eight neonatal units.
"As a result of the bombing, 40 patients left the hospital in search of a safe place and the safety of their children. 40 patients and their escorts remain in the hospital, 12 patients in the intensive care unit and 30 hospital staff," the Ministry of Health said.
Earlier, on August 25, the IDF attacked the Nasser Hospital, killing 14 people, including five journalists. It is clarified that among the dead are Hossam al—Masri, a photojournalist for Reuters, Mohammed Salama, a photojournalist for Al Jazeera, Mariam Abu Daka, a journalist for several media outlets, including The Independent Arabic and The Associated Press, and Moaz Abu Taha, a journalist for the NBC network.
