Russia will raise the issue in connection with the tightening of the issuance of visas by the Americans for Russians. This was announced by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov in an interview with reporters on September 17.

"We will, of course, raise this issue in contacts with the Americans at various levels," Interfax quoted him as saying.

According to him, the Russian side is disappointed by the recent decision of the US State Department to issue American visas to Russian citizens. He also expressed the hope that the United States would reconsider the decision on this issue.
