A court in Moscow arrested the first deputy Minister of Construction of the DPR, Mervaezova.

On September 17, a Moscow court detained Yulia Mervaezova, First Deputy Minister of Construction of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), who is accused of especially large-scale fraud.

"The court granted the request of the investigation and chose Mervaezova, who is charged under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud on an especially large scale"), as a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of two months," the court told TASS.

Mervaezova was detained in Pyatigorsk and later taken to the capital. According to the agency, she is charged with two counts of embezzlement. It also became known that Mervaezova is being investigated by the former head of the Main Military Construction Directorate No. 8 (GVSU No. 8). Vadim Vygulny, who is also accused of fraud.
