The last battalion of the 57th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost its combat capability due to losses

Over the past day, the 42nd separate motorized infantry battalion, which is part of the 57th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), suffered significant losses - up to a platoon of personnel. This led to the loss of combat capability by the unit.

"Thus, the 57th separate motorized infantry brigade lost its last combat-ready battalion," TASS reports, citing a source.

In addition, it is reported that as a result of the missile strike, the deployment point of the brigade consisting of former prisoners of the special company was destroyed.

A day earlier, military expert Alexei Zhivov reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were unlikely to be able to continue holding Kupyansk. According to the expert, most likely, even the transfer of additional forces and funds, which are in short supply, will not help Ukraine to keep the settlement under control.
