Egypt is interested in further development of tourism with Russia. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk told reporters on September 16.

"15% of the income of the Egyptian tourism industry is the income received from Russian tourists. Naturally, the Egyptian side is very interested in the further development of tourism. They proposed to expand the geography of tourism for Russia," he said.

According to Overchuk, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation intends to join the development of tourism between the two countries. He also noted that the parties had exchanged demands.

"There are certain requirements that we are making, and the Egyptians are ready to host the appropriate inspections," Overchuk stressed.

The Russian delegation's working trip to Egypt took place on September 15-16.

Earlier, on May 14, Anton Alikhanov, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, said that Russia and Egypt were discussing projects to create special terminals for receiving liquefied natural gas (LNG). According to him, during the visit of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to Moscow, representatives of the oil and gas sector also took part in the discussion of this issue.
