A resident of the Lipetsk region transferred 3 million rubles to false brokers

In the Lipetsk region, another victim of fraud was a 46-year-old resident of Yelets. She transferred 3 million rubles to false brokers, the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia told GOROD48.

The woman told the police that she had installed a special application on August 23, allegedly to make money on investments. Following the recommendations, she started transferring money.

"In total, she managed to send the attackers 3 million rubles. But then she realized that she had been deceived, and contacted the police," the department said.

Yelchanka filed a fraud complaint with law enforcement agencies on September 15.

Last Friday, September 12, a similar case was reported in the city of Bratsk, Irkutsk region. The pensioner transferred 10 million rubles to the false broker. She transferred her own savings, took out loans secured by two apartments and a car, and also borrowed money from relatives and acquaintances.
