The Russian Defense Ministry called the use of drones and robots a feature of the Zapad-2025 exercises

The massive use of unmanned aircraft and ground-based robots has become one of the features of the Zapad-2025 exercises. This was announced on September 16 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"In total, over 50,000 military personnel, more than 3,500 units of weapons and military equipment, including more than 100 aircraft and over 80 ships and support vessels, were involved in the joint strategic exercise Zapad-2025," the ministry noted.

From September 12 to September 16, a joint strategic exercise Zapad-2025 was held in Russia and Belarus. Key practical actions unfolded at the Mulino training ground, where the tasks of localizing aggression against the Union State and neutralizing security threats were worked out.
