Moscow Prosecutor's Office approves fraud charges against blogger Sidoropulo

The Moscow Prosecutor's Office has approved a fraud indictment against blogger Andrei Sidoropulo, who sold educational courses. He will now appear in court, the press service of the department reported on September 16.

The blogger will be tried under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code ("Fraud on an especially large scale") and paragraph "b" of Part 4 of Article 174.1 of the Criminal Code ("Money laundering").

The investigation found that Sidoropulo, along with accomplices from an organized criminal group (OCG), posted paid courses on the Internet "Author training in Traffic Arbitration from Andrei Sidoropulo." Clients who completed the training were guaranteed to achieve rapid enrichment. At the same time, in fact, the attackers did not teach anything, but only appropriated payment for the courses.

"40 people suffered from the actions of the members of the criminal group, the damage exceeded 8.3 million rubles. In order to legalize the funds acquired as a result of the crimes, the accused purchased a luxury Lamborghini car worth more than 22 million rubles," the Telegram channel of the department said.

Sidoropulo's criminal case has been sent to court. The prosecutor has concluded a preliminary cooperation agreement with the accused, and the case has been separated into separate proceedings.

The metropolitan Prosecutor's office announced Sidoropulo's arrest on August 20. The blogger has been in custody since August 21. The Tverskoy Court of Moscow arrested him for two months — until October 19. It was established that the fraudster conducted paid online courses "on traffic arbitration" and ensured that during and after training, you can easily start earning money without intending to fulfill your promise.

Before that, in January 2023, Sidoropulo was put on the wanted list. It was noted that people transferred money to him, but in the end they realized that the course was not unique: the information was taken from open sources and was of no value. Many users posted videos online in which they said that they had lost money because of the blogger.
