In general, the heating season in residential buildings starts when the average daily air temperature for five days does not exceed + 8 degrees. Heating can be turned on earlier if a sharp cold snap is predicted.

Earlier it was reported that fines may be imposed in Russia for poor preparation for the heating season. Such a bill was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on July 19, 2025.
