- The State Duma announced the preparation of a bill on social nutrition in the Russian Federation
The low percentage of completely healthy graduates of Russian schools is due, among other things, to poor nutrition. This was announced on September 16 by Tatyana Butskaya, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Fatherhood, Motherhood and Childhood.
"95% of our children are born healthy. According to various sources, 10-15% graduate from school healthy, without any chronic disease," she said at a press conference in TASS.
According to the MP, nutrition plays a key role in such statistics. Butskaya spoke about the preparation of the law "on ensuring the organization of social nutrition in the Russian Federation." These are the legislative foundations that will make it possible to implement the upcoming tasks, added the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection.
Earlier, on September 14, Butskaya spoke about the preparation of a bill on hospital schools. According to the MP, the hospital school is designed for children who have been in the hospital for more than 21 days. She added that about 6 million children are treated in Russian medical institutions every year, of which about 400,000 are in hospitals for more than 21 days.
