An all-terrain vehicle with failed brakes flew off a mountain into a lake in Transbaikalia and drowned

In the Kalarsky district of the Trans-Baikal Territory, an all-terrain vehicle with failed brakes flew into Lake Amudisa and drowned. This was reported by a source of Izvestia on September 16.

"During the descent from the mountain, the brakes of an all-terrain vehicle carrying a group of geologists failed. The car drove into the lake at high speed. Three passengers managed to get out," the source said.

The fate of five more people is unknown — presumably, they could have drowned. The details of the incident are being clarified.
