The Chelyabinsk region has exported 40 thousand tons of flour products since the beginning of 2025. This is 10% more than in the same period a year earlier, the press service of the regional customs reported on Tuesday, September 16.

The main share — 43% of the total weight — came from wheat flour. Shipments of this product increased by 3% in weight and cost. Cornmeal exports increased by 15% by weight and 37% by value, while rice exports more than tripled in both indicators.

The countries of East Asia and the Middle East have significantly increased the purchase of flour products from the Chelyabinsk region. Wheat flour exports to Turkmenistan have also increased by half, writes the news agency " <url>".

"Foreign companies are willing to import oat flour and flakes produced in the Urals. The supply of oatmeal increased by 60% in weight terms. This year, they have purchased more than 10 thousand tons," said Alexey Frolov, head of the Ural Customs Administration.

According to him, the volume of exports to China, Vietnam and Azerbaijan has increased significantly. Interest in oatmeal has also increased in the Middle East, with supplies tripling, Frolov added.
