Spontaneous parking near Chelyuskintsev Street in Tyumen will be turned into a part of Leonid Zgersky Square. The work is in full swing, the mayor Maxim Afanasyev wrote in his Telegram on Tuesday, September 16.
"Very soon, a sidewalk, modern outdoor lighting will appear on this public territory, and art objects will appear next year," the mayor explained, as quoted by <url> news agency.
According to the mayor, parking for 67 cars will remain, while the public space will be landscaped and made more functional, and "pedestrian connections" will be added.
The landscaping will be carried out at the expense of investors. To date, the work has been completed by 32%. The opening of the renovated park is scheduled for the autumn of this year 2025.
Earlier it was reported that the current bus station on Permyakova Street in Tyumen decided to locate in another area. This is provided for by the territorial planning scheme of the region.
