The Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of 18 drones over Stavropol

On the night of Tuesday, September 16, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) sent over 80 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to the territory of Russia. This was reported on September 16 in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

According to the ministry, air defense systems shot down 87 drones over ten regions of Russia and the Black Sea. The attacks were carried out from 23:00 on September 15 to 6:00 Moscow time on September 16.

The largest number of drones — 30 — was intercepted over the Kursk region. Another 18 UAVs were shot down over the Stavropol Territory, 11 over the Rostov Region, 10 over the Bryansk Region, five over the Tula Region, four over the Ryazan region, three over the Crimea, two each over the Volgograd and Voronezh regions, one each over the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Black Sea.
