The Israeli Defense Ministry confirmed plans to strike Gaza before defeating Hamas.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will launch attacks on Gaza until it defeats the Palestinian Hamas movement. This was announced on September 16 by Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz.

"The IDF is striking at the terrorist infrastructure with an iron fist, and the IDF soldiers are fighting valiantly, creating conditions for the release of hostages and the defeat of Hamas," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

According to him, the Israeli military will not retreat until their mission is completed.
