The air defense forces intercepted 87 Ukrainian UAVs over Russian territory overnight.

The Air Defense Forces intercepted 221 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) last night. The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the territory of Russia. This was announced on September 16 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

According to the agency, most of the attacks were repelled in the border regions.

"30 drones were shot down over the Kursk region, 18 over the Stavropol Territory, and 11 over the Rostov Region," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

UAVs were also intercepted over the Bryansk, Tula, Ryazan, Volgograd, Voronezh and Nizhny Novgorod regions, as well as in the Crimea and over the Black Sea.

The servicemen practiced joint operations using advanced technologies and experience gained during the special operation.

Earlier, on July 15, it was reported that the air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 24 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the sky over the Kursk region.
