In the south of Sakhalin, there was a power outage due to its disconnection at a substation. This was announced on September 16 by the Ministry of Energy of the Sakhalin Region.

"Today at 10:30 [2:30 Moscow time], one of the switches at the Yugo-Zapadnaya high-voltage substation in the city of Yuzhno—Sakhalinsk was turned off by automatic protections," according to a publication on the department's Telegram channel.

At the moment, operational field teams are transferring consumers to other power supply schemes.
