HC Avangard defeated Dinamo Minsk in a shootout

Omsk Hockey club (HC) Avangard defeated HC Dinamo Minsk on September 15 with a score of 5:4, while the winner was determined in a shootout.

It is noted that the Omsk team's captain Damir Sharipzyanov and forwards Andrew Poturalski, Nail Yakupov and Igor Martynov scored goals. Striker Sam Enas, center Alex Limoges and striker Egor Borikov scored for the Minsk national team.

"It wasn't easy for us, we had to fight back, but we found a way to win. It's absolutely not a pretty way to go, but I'm happy that we got two points. Progress is visible, many things are getting better from game to game," Guy Boucher, coach of Avangard, was quoted by Sport-Express as saying.

"We have to take advantage of the fact that our opponents get very tired when they come to us."

Earlier that day, it was reported that Dynamo Moscow hockey club (HC) was defeated in a FONBET match with HC Barys from Astana with a score of 2:5, which was the team's fourth defeat in the KHL championship. It is noted that forwards Maxim Komtois and Nikita Gusev scored goals from Dynamo.

On September 13, Avangard Omsk defeated Dynamo Moscow with a score of 7:4.
