Experts named the amount of time spent on homework
A third of Russian schoolchildren spend from one hour to two hours on homework (34%), a slightly smaller number of students spend more than two hours. This was announced on September 16 by Skysmart research, the results of which were reviewed by "Газета.Ru ".
At the same time, 23% of respondents spend less than one hour studying at home, while 14% of schoolchildren prepare homework for more than three hours a day.
According to the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, schoolchildren should spend 3.5 hours on homework.
According to the study, the majority of parents (56%) are convinced that homework allows children to learn the material better.
"The problem often lies not in the fact of homework itself, but in their outdated, conveyor format. The same tasks can destroy motivation and not take into account the individuality of the child," explained Anastasia Yekushevskaya, Academic director of Skysmart.
Earlier, on September 9, the Ministry of Education set a regulated time for studying each subject. It is noted that schools have been offered about 30 standard schedules, which they can use as a basis or refine according to their needs. Thus, high school students have more time to study the history of Russia.
The head of the Fair Russia — For Truth party, Sergei Mironov, announced on September 7 that the party would submit to the State Duma in the fall a bill to abolish homework for schoolchildren on weekends. He also added that the solution of issues related to the quality of homework and the proper distribution of the workload is the responsibility of teachers. Therefore, according to the faction, it is necessary not only to facilitate their work, but also to provide them with decent pay — at least 200% of the average salary for one rate.
