"There is no fear. What's to be afraid of? Death? Death is an encounter with Him (with God. — Ed.). Is it scary?" she wrote on her Telegram channel.

According to Simonyan, her life is "in the hands of the Lord."

Simonyan reported on her serious illness and upcoming surgery on September 7. Later, on September 9, she said that she had come out of anesthesia and thanked everyone who was worried about her.
