Three flood monitoring posts have been established in the Stavropol Territory. The devices will warn of flooding in a few hours, the press service of the regional Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment reports.
The complexes were installed on the Kuma River near the village of Bekeshevskaya, on the Podkumok River in Yessentuki and on the Gorky River 12 km from the village of Grachevka, writes IA StavropolMedia.
In total, 16 similar hydraulic posts have been deployed in the region as part of the flood control program, designed until 2020. They record the water level and transmit the data to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Dispatching services every 10 minutes.
