- The Russian ambassador rejected Norway's accusations of alleged violation of Poland's borders by Russian drones.
Russian Ambassador to Oslo Nikolai Korchunov rejected accusations of Russia's alleged violation of Polish airspace during a conversation at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This was reported on September 15 in the Telegram channel of the Embassy of the Russian Embassy in Norway.
"The charges were rejected. With reference to the relevant statements of the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Defense, they indicated that the Russian defense ministry had not planned targets for destruction on the territory of Poland," the report says.
In addition, Korchunov expressed concern about the military assistance that Oslo is providing to Kiev as part of the "UAV coalition."
The Russian Embassy said that Ukraine uses unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) supplied by Norway to attack "peaceful targets and civilian infrastructure" on the territory of the Russian Federation. Among them, the diplomatic mission pointed out energy facilities that play a key role in the supply of hydrocarbons to the EU countries and the global energy market.
On September 12, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called Norway a "false peacemaker" who uses arms supplies to Ukraine to enrich himself "on blood" in the interests of a narrow group of individuals. According to her, in Oslo, this business "is invariably presented as an alleged contribution to democracy, to certain democratic values, and to European security."
On September 10, the Operational Command of the branches of the Polish Armed Forces (RFA) reported on the destruction by the Polish military of several drones that violated the airspace of the state. In turn, on September 14, Polish President Karol Nawrocki signed an agreement for the presence of NATO troops on the territory of the state. On September 12, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced the launch of the Eastern Guard initiative to strengthen the defense of the alliance's member countries. According to him, the initiative will be conducted with the participation of many allies of the North Atlantic Alliance, including Denmark, France, Britain and Germany.
