Users of the MAX messenger will be able to present any document with a single swipe of their smartphone. Ilya Anikeev, a correspondent for Izvestia, told about this on September 15.

Everyone who has installed the MAX messenger with a digital ID section integrated with Gosuslugi will have a similar opportunity.

"A digital ID is an analogue of paper documents. It can even be used in a store when buying age-restricted items. For example, earlier, when trying out an energy drink at a self-service checkout, you had to call the seller and show him your passport to make sure you were of legal age. Now it is enough to attach to the reader a phone in which the MAX messenger with a digital ID is installed. And so, in a couple of seconds, without assistance, confirm your age and continue the purchase," Anikeev shared.

To attach your documents, you need to add biometric data — this can be done during registration in the messenger — or scan your passport. Then you need to attach a photo. Data verification takes about a minute.

Earlier in the day, the opportunity to create a digital ID was launched in the MAX messenger in a pilot mode. Identification is confirmed by means of a constantly updated dynamic QR code in the messenger profile. Russian citizens over the age of 18 can create and use a Digital ID.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
