Russian Ambassador to Bulgaria Eleonora Mitrofanova was summoned to the country's foreign ministry, where a demarche was expressed to the diplomat in connection with the alleged violation of Polish airspace by drones. This was announced on September 15 in an official statement by the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry.

It is noted that the Director General for Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Gergana Karadzhova, sent a written demarche to Ambassador Mitrofanova.

Bulgaria expressed its full solidarity with Poland as its ally and partner.

As Mitrofanova told TASS, at the meeting she explained that the Russian Defense Ministry had officially denied the appearance of Russian drones in Poland.

"My personal opinion is that in this situation we are talking about a deliberate provocation by Ukraine, and possibly Poland, in order to further increase the degree of confrontation," the diplomat added.

On the same day, Russian Ambassador to London Andrey Kelin was summoned to the British Foreign Office due to the situation with UAVs in Poland and Romania.

On September 10, the Operational Command of the branches of the Polish Armed Forces (RFA) reported on the defeat of several drones by the Polish military that violated the country's airspace. On September 13, Antena 3 reported the interception of an alleged Russian UAV by the Romanian Air Force.

At the same time, the Charge d'affaires of Russia in Poland, Andrei Ordash, said that the country had not provided any evidence of the Russian origin of the drones shot down near the Polish borders. The Russian Defense Ministry also reported that targets for destruction on the territory of Poland during a massive strike by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the military-industrial complex of Ukraine on the night of September 10 were not planned.

In turn, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Poland's baseless accusations against Russia against the background of the drone incident are part of the anti-Russian rhetoric familiar to Europe. Russia's permanent Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia, commenting on the incident with the UAV, also pointed to Ukraine's ill-considered attempts to involve other states in the conflict.
