Russia summed up the results of the last Single Voting Day
A single voting day in 2025 covered 81 regions of Russia. 55 million voters elected governors and deputies of local legislative assemblies. The footage of the last elections on September 15 is published by Izvestia.
"At this moment, I have nothing to please you with, in quotation marks, with some egregious facts. The campaign nevertheless went quite calmly, normally," said Ella Pamfilova, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Russian Federation.
Voting took place in 21 regions with gubernatorial elections, in 11 — deputies of local legislative assemblies, and municipal elections were also held. Polling stations were also operating in remote areas, including the village of Shor-Taiga in the Kemerovo region, which can only be reached by boat.
"Today, our electoral system is really instrumentally, institutionally, and legislatively, probably the most invulnerable, let's call it that, to external influence," said political analyst Alexei Martynov.
External threats did not force us to abandon technology, but on the contrary: it was possible to vote online in 24 regions this year. Modern terminals, protected from manipulation, have been installed in some areas.
"Technical innovations include remote electronic voting, three—day voting and other voting. In general, this has made it possible to ensure the honesty, openness, competitiveness and legitimacy of our electoral system and make it number one in the world," said Pavel Danilin, a political scientist and director of the Center for Political Analysis.
Special attention was drawn to veterans of the special military operation (SVO), more than 1.5 thousand of whom participated in the elections. For example, Alexander Chantsov, who received the Order of Courage for the defense of Lisichansk, moved to the City Duma of Kislovodsk.
"I'm planning to get into the education department now. I will continue to carry out military-patriotic work," the veteran said.
The day before, the Ministry of Digital Development reported that more than 1.5 million voters were able to vote in the elections of governors and regional parliaments on the remote electronic voting platform — the final turnout was 90.54%.
On the same day, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev pointed out the minimal number of violations in the elections.
