The court sentenced the Ukrainian boxer from Kraken to 20 years in prison in the case of the terrorist attack.

The Second Western District Military Court found Andrei Prikhodko guilty and sentenced him to 20 years in a penal colony in the case of a terrorist attack and illegal arms trafficking. This was reported to Izvestia in court on September 15.

Earlier, during the debate between the parties, the prosecutor requested 25 years in prison for Prikhodko with a fine of 700 thousand rubles. He was charged under Article 205 of the Criminal Code ("Terrorist act"), Article 222 of the Criminal Code ("Illegal arms trafficking"), Article 322 of the Criminal Code ("Illegal border crossing") and Article 226.1 of the Criminal Code ("Arms smuggling"). The defendant admitted his guilt.

According to the investigation, Prikhodko, being a soldier of the Kraken unit, fired an anti-tank grenade launcher at a bus carrying Russian soldiers shortly before his surrender. No one died as a result of the incident. He also took part in the invasion of the Belgorod region. Earlier, he said that the Kraken national unit received orders to fire at civilians in the rear, and shift the blame to the Russian military.
